The Prayer Warriors Group

Prayer Warrior (PW) is a term used to refer to anyone who is committed to praying for others. PWs pray for individuals, entire states/regions, events and conditions that affect others. So many bad circumstances take place in the world – such as illness, crime, accidents and conflicts, but PWs believe that God has given us the ability to fight evil and overcome it with good through the most powerful weapon available – PRAYER!

A Prayer Warrior therefore is one who God calls to fight in the spiritual battles that are constantly taking place, where evil causes suffering. God works to redeem all for good purposes. Those who say “yes” to God’s call – Prayer Warriors – participate in the world’s most important work. Prayer Warriors see the battle and consistently take action by coming before God.

Prayer Warrior Pledges and Actions:

1.PWs pledge to pray consistently for specific concerns or needs that have been shared in confidence by someone in need of specific prayer.
2.PWs engage in spiritual warfare with the confidence that God’s power is working through them and is greater than any evil working against them. Prayers can help prevent bad things from happening to people and usher good things into people’s lives.
3.PWs handle all prayer requests by individuals with utmost confidentiality, unless the requestor is open to you sharing with other PWs. PWs will check back with the requestor to learn if circumstances have changed, improved or need further attention.
4.PWs are listeners and empathetic, but not advisors. God will be the advisor through your prayers.
5.PWs listen to the Holy Spirit’s promptings for guidance about how best to pray for what’s most needed.
6.PWs know that Jesus has given them authority to pray in His name and to know that He will answer prayers according to God’s will and at the right time. Be confident that you can pray to usher God’s power into any situation.
7.PWs ask God to show them the full truth about what’s going on in the situations about which they are praying, as well as how they can pray about each of those situations to be most effective.
8.If no special prayer requests are made by individuals, PWs will meet periodically to determine a worthy cause/person for which all will pray cooperatively.

 A Prayer Warriors Prayer:

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel.
